Kids and Teens Showcase

Every year, from the films submitted to the Festival, we select two programs for children and one for teenagers to make up the Kids and Teens Showcase.
This year, the Kids Program 1 – Dreams of Today and Tomorrow will show nine short films from various countries, including films that have won awards and/or been shown at national and international festivals. Among them, we have programmed four short films that were produced by the Kinoforum Workshops by children, who created, recorded, acted in and edited their own films, inspired by their own dreams.
The Kids Program 2 – Growing and Playing in the Gardens of Life is made up of seven short films, also from various countries and with an emphasis on animated films. In this program, one of the short films reveals the process of making a film as experienced by children from the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
In the Teens program – The Cinema of Young People, suitable for ages 10 and older, several voices echo, expressing in audiovisual format the main demands of Brazilian teenagers, including a production made in Mexico.
We also have four short films made by teenagers in the Kinoforum Workshops projects (city of São Paulo) and one short film made by young students from the Instituto Querô (Santos-SP). A program for teenagers and also for audiences of all ages, composing a mosaic of themes and points of view on several issues important to young people.
